26 Black Wedding Dresses For Unusual Wedding

Among the unusual fashion trends, black wedding dresses became very popular for the special charm and unique look they give. Some famous fashion brands started years ago to include black wedding dresses in their collections, and also were keen on developing designs that appeal to every lady and every season.
Besides elegance, black dresses work really well as ball gowns, Gothic wedding dresses, formal party dresses, Halloween wedding dresses and many other uses that make them a nice fashion trend for brides.

Although I consider it very unusual and gloomy for one to wear black in her wedding, I found beautiful designs when I was collecting these photos.
By scrolling down you will see for sure the plain black dress, which is not my favorite, and others that came in black and white with chiffon and tulle details. I found combinations of all colors like red, purple, deep blue, green and orange paired with black background, but I didn’t see them as suitable for weddings. Instead, I tried to pick more sophisticated designs made with white, beige, gold and light colored chiffon. The colors may also inspire you for nice wedding reception or a small party with matched decorations.
The most beautiful thing I loved about these dresses is the floral embellishments and soft lines coming in black over a light background. We can see the same feature in most dresses, especially those made all of chiffon where the fabulous black layer drapes over white and beige ones. This is actually my very favorite style, and I consider it the best way to create a dreamy look.

Speaking about brand designs, I included a few models from Sophia Tolli black wedding dresses, made with plain white background. There are three more models, not from that brand, made with gold lace details and another glowing black dress that looks completely royal among the white flower reception. As you see these dresses look very classy, and romantic, and most of all… not dull or gloomy.
We don’t see a variety of flower bouquets here, but you can be creative and use white and green flowers for a soft look, or choose a combination that suits the season. For example, during spring you can use a big bouquet of colorful flowers, while a Halloween wedding may require a bunch of orange and autumn flowers.
