Alberta Ferretti resort 2015 collection is one of the best collections that I have seen this year. The designer showed a nice play of colors, mixing cheerful colors together to generate very bold, feminine looks. Perhaps her reason to cheer up the ladies this year was that mess going on in Europe; creating an essential need for a change in women’s trends.
Before I mention the colors, I’d like to speak about the sharp details in the pants, long coats, skirts, short dresses and other designs. The sharp cuts, skittles, floral embroidery on sheer fabrics, and silk intarsia looked like an old, sixties or seventies style, which is kind of unusual for a resort fashion.
The creative matter in resembling old fashioned clothes was the colors she used to bring these designs back to life and make them suitable as a resort style.
The colors included plain, deep purple, red, brown and green; with shades of pink, light purple, burgundy, blue, white, orange and violet. Of course most of these colors appeared quite glossy, especially in the long coats and dresses, due to the silk fabrics that the designer used. In addition to the old fashioned details, the cropped pants, tops and fluid dresses were the best to introduce as a romantic, yet very functional style.
