Fish Spices

For one who likes to try different fish recipes instead of buying from restaurants, it is important to have quick fish spices ready for shrimp, fried fish, fish soup, etc.
The following recipe is what I usually use for fish and the brown rice which I love to introduce as a side dish.

Fish spices

Ingredients:

– 1 ½ tsp of garlic powder.
– 1 tbsp of ground cilantro.
– ½ tbsp of ground cumin.
– 1 tsp of ground turmeric.
– ½ tsp of ground ginger.
– ¼ tsp of ground clove.
– ½ tsp of ground cinnamon.
– ¼ tsp of chili powder.
– 1 tsp of dried rosemary.
– 1 tsp of dried parsley.
– ¼ tsp of ground nutmeg “or cardamom”.

Grind all ingredients again together until you obtain a soft powder. Use the spices to flavor fish and shrimp before frying, or mix them with chopped onions, garlic, parsley, celery and sweet pepper for cooking fish in the over. You can also sprinkle them on the fried onions while preparing the brown rice for fish meals.
